Evidenced Based Treatment

Not all therapy is the same. During my experience, I noticed many individuals reporting that therapy was not effective or “all the same”. At times, people can be stuck seeing the same therapist for years without making any change.

Typically, people look for therapy based on availability, costs, or location. I recognize that these things are important. However, you may also be missing out on working with someone with the experience necessary to address a specific concern. My recommendation is for people to ask their therapist about their comfort level in addressing their particular mental health issues.

OCD and Trauma

For example, my training and experience in exposure and response prevention therapy and cognitive processing therapy are specific types of therapy approaches that are backed by science to address concerns like OCD and/or trauma symptoms. Ultimately, you need a therapy approach that will work and I can help in that process.
